We typically walk about 5 miles travelling by public transport to anywhere in the London area (within Freedom Pass zones). Most stretches will be in quiet streets or parks small and large, and sometimes its canal paths or by the Thames. We have been as far afield as the Olympic Park and Alexandra Palace or as local as Barnes and Brentford.
Normally, we meet at Hammersmith Broadway 10:00 or 10:30. We pause at a café early on with an optional lunch; usually a pub, canteen or café serving food. Most walks are on pavements, tarmac and gravel paths, so comfortable footwear such as trainers is fine.
As the organiser is frequently away, the meets are rather ad-hoc, but often a Thursday 2 or 9 days after our monthly meeting.
